Treasury Services on Behalf of the Government
MEB, as a state-owned commercial bank, maintains State Fund Account (SFA) system – and banking service for all the government agencies, included Ministries, Departments, State Economic Enterprises, etc.
Monthly Pension Payment for all retired government servants, both civil and military, are also provided through MEB counters.
Furthermore, all MEB branches except those in Yangon, Mandalay and Naypyitaw handle and manage ‘Currency Chest’ transactions on behalf of the Central Bank of Myanmar.
